What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work closely with engineers and data scientists to implement new features and ML-driven improvements on behalf of our members
  • Collaborate with other teams in contributing to our ML roadmap
  • Manage, coach, and grow engineers, and help your team form & bond
  • Recruit & onboard engineers to your team and contribute to improving our overall process
  • Create an environment of continuous learning
  • Unblock individuals & teams, give them the tools to unblock themselves
  • Use a continuous improvement mindset to help the team improve process
  • Work as part of the engineering leadership team to build a great engineering culture

What We Expect From You

  • 3+ years management experience
  • 4+ years relevant software engineering focus in AI
  • Previous experience in building out ML pipelines, configuration and maintenance of orchestration tools such as Airflow, and integration of cloud AI offerings such as TensorFLow or SageMaker.
  • Comfortable working on an Agile team and curious about learning new things
  • Enjoy using test driven development and pair programming, can guide others to use them well.
  • Enjoy coaching & growing engineers
  • Comfortable moving fast and working through ambiguity - we focus on balancing the demands of business growth, platform reliability, and product quality

The target salary range for this position is $179,100 - $218,550, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options, benefits, and incentive pay for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
