THE ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Master Data Analyst at Thrive Market to manage, monitor, and analyze master data, key data, and master relationship data across the organization. This role will report directly to the Director of ERP. This role will serve as the liaison between Merchandising, Supply Chain, and ERP to maintain our master data and develop the standards and processes needed to ensure clean, effective, and accurate data. RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Hands-on role in creating, updating, and managing vendor and item master data within our master data system (Simplain) and ERP (NetSuite)
    • Manage the item product lifecycle management process within the Thrive Market ecosystem
    • Validate and audit master data of approximately 6,000 SKUs (including product dimension, vendor, manufacturer, and category hierarchy maintenance)
    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for all master data functions in Confluence
    • Identifies areas for data quality improvements and works with stakeholders to help resolve data quality issues
    • Assists in data management, governance, and data quality with other functional data owners to ensure functional master data integrity across departments
    • Identifies areas for data quality improvements and helps to resolve data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies
    • Ensures quality of master data in key systems, as well as, development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.

    • Manages, analyzes, and resolves data initiative issues and manages revisions needed to best meet internal and customer requirements while adhering to published data standards.
    • Document all Master Data processes via Confluence
    • Create a ticketing system in JIRA to help track master data requests across cross-functional teams, utilize ticketing system to address issues
    • Create weekly KPI reporting around master data metrics for data accuracy and integrity within the system
    • Create additional tools that can be used for data validation and auditing purposes using NetSuite saved searches
    • Partner with Merchandising Data team to ensure that all cross-functional process workflows are created, vetted, and followed to maintain data integrity across all systems

QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2+ (4+) years of relevant experience and/or progressive data and item master management experience 
    • Prior experience in grocery retail is preferred
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel a must
    • Experience with NetSuite is preferred
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
    • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
    • Excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders 
    • Knowledge of SQL a plus
