The Data Analytics & Business Intelligence (DABI) team is the center of excellence for data work across the company and is responsible for cultivating a data-driven culture by supporting internal teams with high-quality data and insights. We are looking for someone to join our team to help us drive better health outcomes in partner populations by providing actionable reporting & analytics products! 

This role is open to remote work outside of the San Francisco Bay Area. 

How You’ll Contribute:

    • Redesign our data warehouse architecture and data model for flexibility and scalability
    • Collaborate with analytics, engineering, and product teams to develop Color’s data strategy and the roadmap for executing it
    • Create efficient ETLs to power customer-facing data products
    • Develop data best practices and processes for adhering to them

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    • 3+ years of industry experience using data to drive product growth and operation efficiency
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical partners from many teams, especially in exploring decisions and trade-offs
    • Advanced proficiency in SQL databases and queries, as well as experience designing data models
    • Working knowledge of Python and cloud-based data warehouse platforms
    • Experience with analytics & BI tools like Looker, Fivetran, or Metabase
    • Deep interest in learning about and keeping up with quickly evolving industry trends around the modern data stack and data best practices
    • Commitment to applying software engineering best practices in an analytics setting
    • Experience replacing manual processes with automated data solutions

Nice to Have:

    • Experience building internal Python or R packages for analysts 
    • Familiarity with Django, Git, DBT, BigQuery
    • Experience working with large amounts of healthcare or genomic data

Possible Projects To Contribute To:

    • Restructure ETLs to enhance maintainability and incremental processing
    • Implementation of automated monitoring for business-critical datasets
    • Improve reliability of our data products through improved dashboard observability and end-to-end testing
    • Model customer behavior flows that help understand usage and drive product improvements
    • Optimize timeliness of our data infrastructure to ensure critical health data is available for decision makers
