The Data Analytics & Business Intelligence (DABI) team is the center of excellence for data work across the company and is responsible for cultivating a data-driven culture by supporting internal teams and customers with high-quality data and insights. We are looking for someone to lead our analytics team by recruiting and coaching a high-performing group of analysts who help Color drive better health outcomes in partner populations!

This role is open to remote work outside of the San Francisco Bay Area.

How You’ll Contribute:

  • Define and execute strategy to fully harness the power of Color’s data and tangibly improve patient health outcomes. 
  • Actively manage, support, coach and mentor the analysts on your team and provide opportunities for their professional growth.
  • Scale your team by attracting and closing a diverse team of world-class analysts and defining the team’s long-term hiring needs.
  • Drive data best practices across your team and the wider organization to achieve a high level of agility and technical and product quality.

  • Track record of fostering a collaborative culture and strengthening inter-team communication and coordination.
  • Strong results from past collaborations and partnerships with business leaders that demonstrate a keen understanding of data needs and challenges.
  • Expertise in data and dashboard best practices, SQL, and data analysis platforms such as Looker and Metabase.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to present clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization and key external partners.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience aligning terminology and definitions to foster common understanding.
  • Familiarity with Git, DBT, BigQuery.
  • Strong understanding of the best uses of statistical modeling.
  • 7+ years of industry experience in business intelligence (or equivalent role) and 4+ years of experience managing analysts and/or engineers.

Possible Projects To Contribute To:

  • Establish cadence and practices to enable the analytics team to focus on the most important work, and balance building solid foundations with quickly producing results to drive timely decisions.
  • Leverage data to drive better health outcomes in partner populations; ensure our data is impactful in providing actionable reporting & analytics products.
  • Refactor monolithic customer-facing dashboards to be more actionable and goal-focused.
  • Define and build flexible self-service systems to give Color colleagues easy access to clearly-defined data that they can use to make decisions that improve Color’s ability to serve the populations we support.
  • Drive conversations to reach a common understanding of the data we have and how it can enable smart decisions.
  • Establish best practices for creating maintainable systems and building compelling dashboards.
