The Data Engineering team at Color designs, develops, and optimizes the flow of data throughout the organization, enabling us to provide valuable insights to our partners who in turn can more effectively manage the health of their populations. We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager who will play a critical role in scaling the team and ensuring that data from our production database flows smoothly and seamlessly into data sources for external and internal partners. This is a full-time employment position. 

How You’ll Contribute:

• Define and execute strategy to fully harness the power of Color’s data. 
• Manage, support, coach and mentor the engineers on your team and actively engage in their professional growth.
• Scale your team by attracting and closing world-class engineers, working closely with engineering leadership, and defining the team’s long-term hiring needs.
• Drive engineering practices across your team and the wider engineering organization to achieve a high level of agility and technical and product quality.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Excitement about using software and technology to help save lives and prevent catastrophic disease. You want to apply your skills in the service of a greater mission.
• 5+ years of industry experience as a software engineer (or equivalent role) and 2+ years of experience managing data engineers.
• Experience building recruiting pipelines that support diverse and inclusive hiring in a rapidly growing organization
• AWS and Python experience 
• Experience working with modern computing platforms and tools such as git, PostgreSQL, and Docker

Possible Projects To Contribute To:

• Transform Color’s use of data from a relational database model to data-as-a-service, enabling us to provide deep intelligent analysis on healthcare data 
• Partner with our Head of Data Analytics & BI to drive better health outcomes in partner populations; ensure our data is impactful in providing actionable reporting & analytics products 
• Lead efforts to maximize efficient resource utilization and reduce job execution time
