What we’re looking for

You are motivated by delivering metrics, findings, or dashboards that drive analytical insights and business decisions. You will collaborate with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and business teams for future innovation. You need to be a sophisticated user of data querying tools, and an expert at synthesizing and communicating insights and recommendations to audiences of varying levels of technical sophistication.

What You’ll Do:

  • Translate business questions and concerns into specific quantitative questions that can be answered with available data using sound methodologies. In cases where questions cannot be answered with available data, work with engineers to produce the required data.
  • Retrieve, synthesize, and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to answering specific questions or delivering actionable insight.
  • Learn how to leverage cutting edge technologies and methodologies such as Looker and Data Build Tool to transform data and develop reports.
  • Follow given requirements with a high level of attention to detail and drive for quality to ensure the customer gets exactly what they asked for.
  • Fulfill data requests as needed, mining the raw data sources to answer specific questions as they arise in the business.
  • Add features to, fix bugs in, and maintain existing products.
  • Works with supervision and assistance. 
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Skills you’ll need

  • Basic ability to write, understand, and optimize SQL.
  • Solid understanding of Excel.
  • Strong team collaboration skills.
  • Technical computer skills on all forms of hardware - laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. 
  • Professional communication in  email, phone calls, video calls, and texts.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • G-Suite experience.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Basic report building in a reporting application such as Looker, Tableau, Qlik, or Spotfire.
