The Marketing team is made up of people exhibiting many different skill sets all working toward a common goal: to improve the guest booking & review experience across direct and 3rd party channels. As a member of the Marketing Analytics team, you will be exposed to the full spectrum of skills required to run and optimize a modern, data-driven website and services that help automate the management and distribution of our inventory. As an analyst, you’ll get a “seat at the table” in strategic conversations. We fail fast, learn faster, and iterate rapidly.

What we’re looking for

Vacasa seeks a Marketing Analyst who is passionate about data and curious about what makes Vacasa’s marketing efforts on our channel partners (Airbnb/Vrbo/Booking.com/etc) work. Their responsibility will be supporting the channel team’s initiatives across guest booking performance by looking at performance data and listing descriptions, as well as optimizing the collection of reviews across all channels and using review data to improve the guest booking experience. The goal is to help produce insights to help our team act fast & optimize against key metrics. 

The ideal candidate has extensive experience manipulating and analyzing data across multiple sources to glean insight into how our channel partners are operating and what can be done to improve it. Knowledge of current data analysis tools, measurement methodologies & analytical approaches are must-haves to be successful in this role. Lastly, as someone who will work with many people across our team and the entire company, this role requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. 

What you’ll do 

  • Analyze channel marketing & data across 1st/3rd party data sources to help tell the story of channel marketing initiatives
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reports analyzing our channel partners’ performance, first-party site data and revenue
  • Use SQL to pull and analyze data from our data warehouse to connect back to our channel marketing efforts
  • Utilize review data to improve the guest experience - optimizing the solicitation/collection of reviews across all channels and ensuring Airbnb Superhost/Vrbo Premier Host status on our partners’ platforms
  • Integrate, cleanse, manage and analyze data from our warehouse to connect back to our channel marketing efforts. This includes coordinating with our product managers and product teams (engineering and data science)
  • Balance reactive data analysis requests with proactive work based on company objectives
  • Present performance data to stakeholders & train them to self-serve reporting
  • Be a team player and assist in needed areas across the organization

Skills you’ll need

  • 2-5 years in a proven analytics role 
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Looker or Tableau for dashboarding, visualization and data analysis
  • Proficient in SQL and/or extensive experience using Excel or similar (i.e. vlookups, pivot tables, index-match, sumifs, etc)
  • Ability to identify performance trends & opportunities and make recommendations for our channels marketing program based on data
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills - the ability to present complex data reports in a simple and clear way across both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Creative problem solver
  • Ability to work from home and resides in one of the followings states: AK, AL, AZ, CA, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, or WY

Nice to have

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Mathematics, Economics or comparable field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with statistical software skills (R, Python) and statistical modeling skills (e.g., regression, segmentation, machine learning, NLP, Bayesian approaches)
  • Experience with Site/Product Analytics tools ( Segment, Google Analytics) and/or Digital Marketing Analytics (SEM, SEO, email, etc.)
