What we’re looking for

Vacasa seeks a Marketing Technology Team Lead to provide analytic and strategic support to our Marketing, Product & Eng teams. This role will work closely with our Marketing and Product teams to tag & collect data to understand our site visitor’s behavior and to glean insight into how our website is operating and what can be done to improve it.The goal is to help ensure we’re to help our teams act fast & optimize against key metrics. 

The ideal candidate has extensive experience manipulating and analyzing large data sets to glean insight into how our website is operating and what can be done to improve it. Knowledge of current tools, measurement methodologies & approaches across digital media & marketing (such as data collection, targeting, attribution, privacy, etc) are must-haves to be successful in this role. Lastly, as someone who will work with many people across our team and the entire company, this role requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.  

What you’ll do 

  • Have ownership of our web analytics platform including measurement strategy and framework, integrations, and implementation
  • Develop a vision for analytics architecture and attribution models to drive company initiatives forward
  • Integrate, cleanse, manage and analyze data from our warehouse to connect back to our digital efforts
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and regular reports analyzing various elements of site behavior & testing
  • Analyze site & app behavior and to identify areas for site improvement 
  • Analyze test results and identify new testing opportunities
  •  Prioritize projects and competing priorities against company objectives & department goals
  • Present performance data to stakeholders

Skills you’ll need

  • 4-7 years in a proven analytics role
  • A strong understanding of site/product analytics, Google Tag Manager, A/B testing platforms and digital marketing
  • Strong SQL ability and extensive experience using Excel / Google Sheets (i.e. vlookups, pivot tables, index-match, sumifs, etc)
  • Strong Google Analytics, Segment or equivalent experience
  • Direct experience setting up, managing, and maintaining Google Analytics accounts
  • Experience building and maintaining a digital measurement framework
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Looker or Tableau, for dashboarding, visualization and analysis
  • An ability to present complex data reports in a simple and clear way across both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Creative problem solver
  • Preferred: Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or comparable field (or equivalent experience)
  • Bonus: Experience with other data tools within the modern data stack: AWS, Fivetran, dbt and/or Optimizely
