What we’re looking for
We are expanding our team to raise the bar on customer experience and engagement. We want every second homeowner and vacation home guest to be raving fans of Vacasa. To help accomplish that we're looking for a VP of Customer Engagement with a strong background in driving customer loyalty through life-cycle based marketing campaigns. This role will report to the CMO and lead a team that they will have the opportunity to build over time.
What you’ll do
- You are responsible for growing the lifetime value of our Homeowner and Guest customers. You will do this by implementing strategies designed to improve retention and revenue yield from homeowners; And for guests you’ll do this by improving repeat use and upsells
- You will start by creating and communicating a vision and strategy for our customer engagement practice. You must get alignment with peers and stakeholders across the organization to ensure that your vision is understood and achievable
- You will get to know our customers deeply – through a combination of research and mining our internal data. You will understand the customer’s mindset, behaviors, needs and priorities and be the voice and advocate for the customer throughout the organization
- You will use this knowledge base to develop and maintain customer segmentation and personas. You will educate stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure that we are operating with a ‘customer first’ mentality
- You will map customer journeys and establish an engagement marketing lifecycle for each of our core customer segments. This will become the foundation for the actions and communications that you implement to nurture them and promote mutually beneficial behaviors over time
- You will constantly seek to improve the relevance of our customer-facing content and messaging strategy to deliver value and to drive loyalty. You will create hooks and messaging that reduce customer churn and ultimately reduce our dependence on expensive paid marketing acquisition programs
- You will strive for true 1:1 communication with our customers – deploying the right message to the right person at precisely the right time. To do this you must coordinate the various modes of communication at your disposal (email, phone calls, sms, mobile app notifications and remarketing), often working cross-functionally to ensure a seamless experience for the customer
Skills you’ll need
- 10+ years of experience with customer experience, loyalty marketing, or similar
- Analytical, willing to dig into data and draw out meaningful insights that can be articulated into a plan of action
- Technical, understand and have experience with sophisticated CRM technologies for comms deployment, targeting, campaign building, testing & optimization
- Excellent interpersonal and relational skills; able to effectively lead through influence
- Strategic, can formulate a roadmap, direct a team to execute against it flawlessly and report key milestones and impacts
- Experienced in Engagement marketing, preferably among multiple audiences or unique segments
- Solution-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and comfort with ambiguity
- Ability to work from home and resides in one of the followings states: AK, AL, AZ, CA, DE, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, or WY
