As part of the Data Science and Analytics team, you will be working on a performant and scalable cloud-based analytics platform to enable Rhythm in providing affordable green energy to their customers. 

To join the team in our new Serbia office, we are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer with experience using tools like SQL, Python, Tableau, Excel, etc to solve business facing data analytics problems and provide direct insight into Rhythm’s business. The candidate will be part of our diverse international Data Science and Analytics team, but will be working with various functions across Rhythm (e.g. Operations, Commercial, Finance, Trading) to understand and solve a variety of analytics problems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Interact with other teams in Rhythm to understand their data and analytics needs and build solutions that generate actionable business insights
  • Write high quality, testable, and maintainable analytics tools that can be used daily by a variety of stakeholders
  • Work across the entire data stack, from identifying raw data, cleaning and modifying the data for analysis, performing the analysis, and finally visualizing and presenting the results

Required skills:

  • Preferred BS or MS in relevant quantitative business or technology fields such as Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Science or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a focus on using SQL and Python for data analysis
  • Strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem solving, ability to work in cross-functional teams, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and aggregation, along with the ability to write complex queries
  • Proficiency in Python programming for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization (experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, or Matplotlib/Seaborn strongly preferred)
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis techniques and their practical application in extracting insights from data.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) to create interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Data Storytelling: Proficiency in effectively communicating complex data analysis findings through compelling data visualizations, presentations, and storytelling techniques. Experience in crafting data-driven narratives to influence decision-making.

Optional, but highly desirable skills:

  • Previous exposure to Databricks or Jupyter notebooks, specifically using notebooks for data analysis using both SQL and Python, creating visualizations, etc.
  • Experience building predictive ML models using Python libraries like scikit-learn, sklearn, etc.
