Our team has a variety of Data Science project opportunities for independent contractors.  Depending on your skills and experience, we need help with projects such as:

• Building models to understand how energy is generated and consumed in a rapidly changing world of renewables
• Building models to understand our customers and their energy behaviors
• Integration of different models, ensuring insights can be delivered repeatably and reliably to make business decision

Relevant Qualifications and Experiences:

• Strong working knowledge of Python, including relevant data science tools such as pandas, numpy, sklearn, tensorflow, etc.
• Familiarity with pyspark, Databricks, or other mechanisms for big data manipulation and model training are a big plus
• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate a business problem into a conceptual model and a resulting Python implementation
• Familiarity with a modern cloud-based ecosystem as used to manage data, train and deploy machine learning models (e.g. AWS, Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, MLflow, etc.)
• Experience working on energy, finance, or e-commerce problems is an advantage

We are a remote-enabled company that utilizes a cloud-only tech stack, making it easy for you to contribute from anywhere.  We will consider qualified remote candidates willing to work aligned to our time-zone (central US) and are proficient in technical communication in English.
