About You And The Role
Curious, data driven and a lateral thinker, this person will develop data-driven insights to enhance the effectiveness of omni-channel sales and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is generally curious and works passionately and thoughtfully to solve problems. Successful candidates are tenacious, open-minded, analytical, and creative. Theyhave the ability to take functional level data from different sources and synthesize to unearth insights.
Responsibilities
- Be the analytics expert for the marketing team

Establish consistent tracking across Marketing & tech stacks

Build out dashboards and regularly report on insights to better campaign performance

Partner with Commercial, Data Science and Engineering teams to identify and build analytics infrastructure around tracking and reporting

Build out an attribution model, partnering with internal teams and our media agency to assign sales and costs to media channels

Work closely with the Commercial team to understand CLV attributes of acquired customers and implement actions and insights to enhance performance of new sales

Build statistical models using first- and third-party data to create high-value targetable segments

Proactively identify and execute on technology and data insertion opportunities
Qualifications

Degree in engineering, finance, economics, math, or computer science preferred with minimum of five years of work experience

Exposure to the energy market and understanding of industry complexities preferred

Interest in media, marketing and sales – or some experience with these functions
-
Ability to stitch data together from 1st party sources, 3rd party sources and interpret to provide insights, not just spreadsheets

Willingness to work closely with various functions to find & interpret the data, including Marketing, Data Science, Finance, Commercial, and Operations

Willingness to learn, be a self-starter, with a “get-it-done” attitude

Experience writing & optimizing complex SQL queries

Experience with BI tools like Looker

Experience conducting complex media analyses across large data sets

Experience evaluating performance of traditional media channels preferred

Understanding of media attribution methods, approaches, limitations, and tools

Experience working with web analytics tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Search Console

Experience with customer data platforms like Segment

Experience working with third party data vendors and data sets
Geography

Rhythm is headquartered in Houston, Texas with plans to open an office in the New York area in 2021. Preference will be given to candidates in these two locations.
