The Role:

We’re looking for a highly skilled, collaborative, and experienced Data Architect to join our team.You will be joining at an exciting time as we embark to define the next evolutionary step of our data platform and engineering team.. You will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the organization’s data strategy. As we are creating a new team, you will be able to influence and define our technical direction and expand our existing data tech stack. As the Data Architect, you will be leading the charge in designing and implementing the next evolution of our cutting-edge data platform. You will work closely with our Director of Data Engineering and Architecture to create automated, secure and scalable data pipelines to support our data roadmap. Leveraging your expertise in architecture, ETL, and database design, you will construct the infrastructure needed to manage our rapidly changing data sets. You will have the opportunity to steer the technical course of the platform, ensuring the accuracy and dependency of the data, and making sure that we stay at the forefront of the industry. What You'll Do:

  • Design and build scalable, secure, and repeatable data pipelines for multiple users and applications
  • Be the mastermind behind designing and building scalable, secure, and repeatable data pipelines that will transform the way our users and applications access data and influence the lives of millions of people outside of the world.
  • Own the development of core data models and key infrastructure that will revolutionize the way we manage data across our Snowflake account.
  • Design innovative solutions to manage data freshness, completeness, quality, and linage.
  • Ingest data from various sources, ensure data quality, and make it accessible to downstream users quickly and easily exposed to our business intelligence team
  • Play a crucial role in the full project lifecycle, from ideation to implementation, and collaborate with teams across the board to bring data-driven solutions to life.
  • Collaborate in all facets of data engineering, spanning data ingestion, transformation and consumption in addition to designing and building test-driven development, reusable frameworks and automated workflows at scale to support analytics products
  • Take charge of data security, data governance, and data quality, ensuring that our platform is always ahead of the curve when it comes to data engineering best practices.
  • Be up to date with the latest cutting edge data technologies by evaluating new and innovative solutions, always keeping our platform up to date and providing our users with the best possible experience.
  • Become a mentor to junior team members, providing them with opportunities to grow and develop their own data engineering skills, all while taking your own career to new heights.


What We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture roles
  • Extensive experience in building efficient & secure data stores in the cloud (AWS) and in cloud ETL processes.
  • Expert-level knowledge about modern data structures, data models, and processing techniques
  • Experience building scalable, real-time and high-performance cloud data lake solutions
  • Strong experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Solid experience with relational SQL and programming languages such as Python.
  • Experience with source control tools such as GitLab and related CI/CD processes
  • Experience with workflow scheduling tools like Airflow
  • An understanding of the business impact of projects you build and the ability to prioritize projects by balancing between craft, speed, and the bottom line.
  • Experience provisioning RESTful API’s to enable real-time data consumption
  • Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, data architecture, and technical designs

AG is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $150,000 - $240,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
