Ticketmaster’s Pricing & Distribution team is an industry leading product and service provider focused on unlocking the ability for our clients to sell their products to the right customers at the right time and channel in ways that maximize yield via data driven revenue and demand optimization.

THE JOB

We are seeking a Data Engineering Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience in data integration and automation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on data integration projects and support our data team in sourcing and consolidating data from various internal sources. You will use your skills to create small processes that acquire, transform, and present data points for analytical decision making.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING (RESPONSIBILITIES)

  • Work closely with data analysts and other stakeholders to identify data integration needs.
  • Assist in developing and implementing processes for sourcing and consolidating data from various internal sources, including S3, Athena, FTP, Kafka streams, and APIs.
  • Use Python to write scripts to help automate data acquisition, transformation, and presentation.
  • Help design, develop, and maintain data integration workflows.
  • Perform data validation and verification to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Troubleshoot data integration issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
  • Document data integration processes and workflows for future reference.
  • Support other data integration projects and initiatives as needed.
     

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES)

  • Currently pursuing a degree in computer science, data science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with programming concepts and experience in Python.
  • Basic knowledge of data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Exposure to AWS services, including S3, Athena, and APIs is a plus.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The expected compensation for this position in California is:

$66,560.00 USD
