THE TEAM

The Core Data Services org serves primarily internal customers comprised of business units and analytics teams across the entire Live Nation enterprise. Within Core Data Services, our Governance Team is responsible for establishing data standards and maintaining quality definitions, catalogs, and best practices with all those customers to help us create the data solutions required to power each team or initiative to serve artists, our fans, and the business.

THE ROLE

This role is on the Governance Team and will help establish a scalable Governance practice including building standards, training other orgs interacting with company data, and directly writing and editing data definitions, table comments, knowledge base articles, etc. In this role, you will drive strategic thinking and cross-functional alignment around data-driven approaches to optimize data discoverability and management. You will also directly explore data across our business and provide analyses. In so doing, you will be a key partner with cross-functional stakeholders to better understand our users and internal customers to create a scalable Governance process.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Ensure every line of business and product team knows how to contribute to the shared Enterprise Data Model
  • Provide a framework and delivery of Data Governance across data domains
  • Stay abreast of technology and practice trends, create proof of concepts, and lead adoption for data discovery
  • Understand the live entertainment landscape and Live Nation’s business processes, to help enable data discovery for all stakeholders
  • Develop, validate and drive implementation of the organization’s Data Standards in collaboration with Data Producers and Data Consumers.
  • Develop the operationalization of Data Governance capabilities and target operating model to meet the objectives set out in the company’s Data Strategy
  • Continuously work multi-functionally across the business to evaluate data governance-related processes to find opportunities for improvement
  • Promote data-driven culture and good data practices within an organization
  • Act as a primary contributor for the Metadata repositories as well as manage the health and wellbeing of the Metadata repositories
  • Write and maintain documentation including Knowledge Base articles on our data domains
  • Explore company data identifying potential duplication, quality issues, or modeling/sharing opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvements to our products, tools, and processes by sharing learnings, constructive feedback, and input with internal technical and analytics teams
  • Help with standardization of naming of data elements across data domains
  • Actively look for best industry practices through building relationships within the industry, attending webinars, training, conferences.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, MIS, Library Science, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Data Governance, Data Management, Data Modeling, & Data Quality Management
  • Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to effectively navigate data warehouses
  • Background in data mining, efficient in navigating complex data warehouses preferred
  • Proven proficiency within a BI platform (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI, Tableau) preferred
  • Experience with Databricks and Unity Catalog a huge plus
  • ETL and streaming data orchestration experience a plus
  • Practical experience with Privacy laws such as CCPA, GDPR and Privacy Compliance implementation
  • Detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while handling shifting priorities
  • Team-oriented, collaborative worker while still being able to work independently
  • Experience working in organizations with geographically dispersed teams and complex technical environments
  • Must have understanding of the end-to-end data supply chain from production to consumption.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing; effective live presentations and trainings are a must
  • Experience training teams or rolling out new programs across multiple business units is preferred

The expected compensation for this position is:

$100,000.00 USD - $125,000.00 USD

** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
