THE TEAM

Abuse Operations is a centrally managed command and control center for abuse investigations, escalations, policy enforcement, and tooling for all global Live Nation ticketing systems.

 

THE ROLE

As the Data Scientist for Abuse Operations, you'll be part of a mission critical team protecting the Live Nation ticketing platforms from abusive entities or those who deploy abusive digital behaviors designed to circumvent our controls that protect fair access to tickets. The Data Scientist is responsible for producing and operationalizing reports to provide business insight on system abuse across global ticketing platforms.

 

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Architect data structures, feeds and reports to provide real-time reporting and alerting focused on abuse analytics for concert ticket onsales & post-purchase activities.
  • Build ETL processes & operationalize data feeds, ensuring data availability & accuracy.
  • Complex reporting & data analysis projects to evaluate emerging trends and hypothesis.
  • Lead reporting systems and tool reviews and evaluation
  • Act as a source of truth for abuse prevention data and analytics.
  • Ongoing self-directed analysis to uncover data trends and system usage patterns.
  • Drive continuous improvements to our products, tools, and processes by sharing learnings, constructive feedback, and input with internal technical and analytics teams.
  • Independently learn new technologies and master Live Nation ticketing platforms data & tools.

 

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

  • 5+ years’ experience in Data Science or Data Analysis in an entertainment or B2C environment

  • Extensive knowledge and experience working with large global data sets from multiple source systems

  • Strong experience with synthesizing & summarizing large data sets into trends to drive strategic business decisions & hypothesis evaluations

  • Strong Proficiency in SQL Queries and scripting languages (Python preferred)

  • Extensive knowledge of database and analysis tools such as Splunk, Kibana, DataBricks, Snowflake, etc.

  • Experience with Incident and change management

  • Experience in a global, fast-paced environment, resolving multiple interrupt-driven priorities simultaneously

  • Exceptionally focused on quality, accuracy & attention to detail

  • Excellent pattern recognition, and a general curiosity to uncover trends & evaluate data anomalies.

  • Passionate and motivated, resourceful, innovative, forward-thinking

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to summarize complex analysis into executive updates

  • Ability to work with autonomy while ensuring that new knowledge is shared with technology & analytics teams

  • Committed and able to adapt quickly

  • Embrace continuous learning and continuous improvement

The expected compensation for this position in California is:

$128,000.00 USD - $160,000.00 USD
