About the Role

We are looking for a pricing analyst who will leverage data to guide and develop our short-term and long-term pricing strategy, and in doing so, help us accelerate profitable growth of our business. In this role you will work closely with our product, finance, engineering, and design teams to develop pricing strategy hypotheses, design and analyze experiments for new features, define key performance metrics, and understand the long term impacts of pricing on our subscribers and non-subscribers. You will also help build the company’s approach to data-informed product development. 

Responsibilities

    • Support the design, deployment, and monitoring of pricing strategies and revenue optimization
    • Deep dive into customer behavior, financial, and market data to provide insights in developing new pricing strategies 
    • Partner with the Pricing product manager to design pricing experiments
    • Produce post-event analytics and reporting to the broader business, measuring the financial impact of pricing decisions
    • Provide financial and analytical support through profitability models to assess current and future performance of customers 
    • Perform price, offer, and discount realization analysis; segment by user interests, channel, geography, and more
    • Be a vocal advocate of data quality and analytical rigor across the organization, and work closely with engineering to implement robust analytic tracking
    • Present findings to leadership to influence product roadmaps
    • Foster a data-driven, test-and-learn culture with your passion for telling stories with data.

Requirements

    • Capture and synthesize large amounts of data into actionable recommendations and build comprehensive financial models using advanced analytic techniques
    • Strategic & analytical mindset - top-notch strategic thinking and problem-solving ability, excellent business intuition
    • 3+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, and/or strategy analytics roles 
    • Experience with pricing strategy a strong plusFluent SQL skills 
    • Exposure to a scripting language like Python or R
    • Understanding of statistical analysis and experiment design
    • Understanding of financial models and forecasting
    • Experience and ability to communicate across all levels and roles in an organization
