About the role
We are seeking an innovative Senior Applied Scientist to join our team and to proliferate personalization into new product areas and business domains.
You’ll Get To
Lead and innovate through modeling to further personalize our communication channels
Build model prototypes and collaborate with our Machine Learning Engineers to productionalize models that improve customer engagement
Empower your team members to deliver results through your technical leadership
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

You are both a leader that empowers and guides team members, but also a technical specialist that has the resourcefulness to identify business challenges and formulate machine learning solutions methodically!
Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in machine learning or applied science/research in industry
- Experience with building recommender systems, or learning to rank models
- Experienced in A/B testing evaluation methodologies
- Experience with processing and learning from large data sets using distributed frameworks such as Hadoop or Spark
- Experience working with machine learning tools such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Expert with high-level programming language such as Python or Java
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning or related field
- Knowledge of working cloud platforms such as AWS
- Experience applying deep learning in the personalization domain
