The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for working to build and design our data modeling around our Salesforce integration. This role will include the proper ETL of data between our BI systems, production environment, and Salesforce environment to enable internal customers to better interact with our data and to allow data scientists to build models on top of our Sales data. This role will be a high impact enablement role that will expand our use of data across the organization.

What your day-to-day will look like: 

• Facilitate the access of new data (new vendors or similar) to build out our data environment driving forward data science and data analytics within our GTM teams
• Work within a team with deep experience in machine learning, distributed microservices, and full stack systems to build out a scalable data environment and enable the use of analytics and data science within our GTM division.
• Utilize programming languages like Java, Scala, Python and Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases and Cloud based data warehousing services such as Snowflake
• Manage and build ELT and ETL pipelines between internal data and external data stores and reporting tools for the broader data team
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community
• Perform unit tests and conducting reviews with other team members to make sure your code is rigorously designed, elegantly coded, and effectively tuned for performance

You will thrive if you have: 

• Years of Experience: 7+ 
• Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, or similar  
• Technical Requirements: 
• 2+ years of experience in at least one scripting language (Python, Perl, JavaScript, Shell)
• 2+ Years working in a Salesforce driven data environment
• 2+ years of experience developing software solutions to solve complex business problems

• 1+ Years working with big data technologies 

• Soft Skills:
• Experience working in distributed remote teams 
• Able to work independently in an asynchronous communication environment 
• Desire to collaborate and build scalable solutions
• Enjoys talking about the problem, but is ready to build the solution right away
