In this role, you’ll partner with Zillow's mortgage and product leadership teams to uncover the critical insights and communicate analyses needed to influence business strategy and build product, data, and engineering roadmaps. More specifically, this role will:
Design, implement, and readout A/B tests, perform regression modeling, and provide recommendations for Zillow’s lead growth and digital experience roadmap
Apply advanced analytics and modeling techniques to predict customer behavior and explain the impact of product and operational changes
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to discuss problems, design analytics framework, pull in the most relevant data for the business, and develop solutions
Proactively identify areas of opportunity in the mortgage business, operational processes, and product suite to drive an enhanced financing experience
Serve as a mentor and resource to other data scientists on the team through shared projects, authoring detailed documentation, and giving technical talks.

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any part of Mexico, but preferably in Mexico City, as we would encourage attendance for occasional in-office events.

An undergraduate or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. science, engineering, economics, quantitative finance, operations research, statistics, or similar) combined with proven experience within product analytics
4+ years of work experience involving quantitative data analysis and complex problem solving.
A strong understanding of statistical concepts, measurement issues, and inference techniques
Proficiency in SQL and Python (or R), and experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Mode, Looker, PowerBI etc)
Superb verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill complex issues and detailed analysis into simple, structured frameworks with concrete action plans
Able to work cross-functionally and influence product and engineering partners to set realistic goals and focus on data driven solutions
Experience with data engineering pipelines (ETL) and scheduling a plus.

Requisitos
Licenciatura o maestría en un campo cuantitativo (por ejemplo, ciencias, ingeniería, economía, finanzas cuantitativas, investigación de operaciones, estadística o similar) combinada con experiencia comprobada en análisis de productos.
Más de 4 años de experiencia laboral en análisis de datos cuantitativos y resolución de problemas complejos.
Un sólido entendimiento de conceptos estadísticos, problemas de medición y técnicas de inferencia.
Proficiencia en SQL y Python (o R), y experiencia con herramientas de visualización (Tableau, Mode, Looker, PowerBI, etc.).
Habilidades de comunicación verbal y escrita excelentes con la capacidad de simplificar problemas complejos y análisis detallados en marcos simples y estructurados con planes de acción concretos.
Capacidad para trabajar de manera interfuncional e influir en socios de productos e ingeniería para establecer metas realistas y enfocarse en soluciones basadas en datos.
Experiencia con tuberías de ingeniería de datos (ETL) y programación de tareas, es una ventaja.
