Job Description

Zendesk is looking for a motivated marketing analyst to join our Global Integrated Marketing team as a Senior Global Marketing Analyst to help fuel a phase of rapid growth for our company. This role will be based in San Francisco, CA and will report to the Senior Manager of Global Marketing Research.

To be successful in this role, you should have analytics expertise, strong business mentality, data management fluency, and an eagerness to drive business impact through data and insights. You should excel at cross-functional and global collaborations across all levels, exhibit a team-player mentality, display a willingness to implement new technologies and processes, and help build a global research and data management Center of Excellence.

What you will do:

Help to build and function as the Global Research Center of Excellence (COE):

  • Optimize prospect database growth strategies and processes based on performance, issue resolution, and changing market conditions
  • Create and optimize reporting, dashboards, and operational processes in partnership with regional Marketing/Sales Operations and global campaign operations
  • Evaluate and onboard new tools and softwares for research and analysis

Conduct custom analysis:

  • Conduct custom analytics projects to understand and inform planning relating to campaign optimization, strategic prospect growth, and competitive marketing intelligence
  • Analyze data from multiple sources to uncover impactful insights around campaign engagement and conversion
  • Deliver analysis findings and results to inform key takeaways and to drive insights.

Work collaboratively:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and define challenging business questions
  • Drive data and reporting consistency in relationships with business partners across marketing,sales, operations and analytics
  • Lead cross-functional projects and drive programs forward across global and regional teams

What you bring to the role:

  • BS/BA degree in data science, analytics, or related quantitative fields
  • 3-5+ years of experience in business or marketing analytics role with a demonstrated ability to handle large datasets
  • Proficiency with SQL-based languages and experience working with large scale data technologies
  • Extensive experience in data analysis (Python, R, etc) or quantitative research (survey design, programming, synthesizing data, etc.)
  • Proficiency with data visualization solutions (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
  • Knowledge of marketing platforms (Salesforce.com, Eloqua, Marketo, Google Analytics, Social Media APIs, etc.)
  • Outstanding cross-group collaboration, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, problem-solving and executive presentation skills are required
  • A collaborative, open attitude and a history of working well cross-functionally with local and global teams of different backgrounds and skill levels as well as different time zones
  • Comfortable with constant changes and easily adaptable to the changing environments of a fast-paced, growing company!
  • Ability to work well independently, complete projects in a timely manner, and prioritize multiple projects to ensure the completion of essential tasks by deadlines!
