Senior Analyst, Enterprise Insights  (Remote)

Every single day, Zendesk’s products capture millions of customer service interactions. Each of those interactions serve as data points and glimpses into customer service trends and behavior. One of the ways we give these insights and learnings back to our customers is through the Zendesk Benchmark. 

Zendesk is looking for a Senior Analyst to mine our data for behavioral insights - across segments, industries, and geographies. As part of the team, you will collaborate closely with Marketing and Product Marketing diving into a wide scope of digital advertising, marketing, and financial data to help us make the right decisions and achieve our ambitious goals. This includes communicating these findings to our customers through white papers, blog posts, and the annual State of CX report. You should be confident in your ability to analyze data from multiple sources (both internal and external) and to communicate a strategic narrative based on your analysis of the data.

This role is both technical and analytical.  

Responsibilities include:

  • Collaboration with Marketing and Product Marketing to identify and prioritize research and analysis efforts

  • Analyze product usage, define segments and benchmark trends, layering on external data and research for analytical depth 

  • Communicate analysis results to Marketing, Design, Product etc  and collaborate on blogs, white papers, and PR

  • Build the visualizations that display the data-driven insights in a beautifully simple way

  • Participate in cross-functional teams as a product data expert

  • Mentor team members and other users of the data 
     

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • An analytical mindset, with the intellectual curiosity to search for context and insight behind the numbers paired with a strong business and product acumen

  • 4+ years experience working with SQL or other querying language; be ready to demonstrate this skill in your interview (required)

  • 4+ years having a strong foundation in product analytics and statistics and solid understanding of at least one statistical tool/language (Python, R, Tensorflow, SciPy, Matlab) (required)

  • A knack for identifying and investigating anomalies in data and operations

  • Familiarity with marketing funnel reporting and industry KPIs, such as website sessions, MQLs, pipeline, and ARR a plus

  • Applied experience in framing ambiguous problems, collecting/preparing data, and applying analytical rigor 

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Able to tell a visual story that leads to results and decision making

  • Organization and independence. Role may be remote
