Job Description

Zendesk is seeking a Sr. Marketing Analytics Manager to join the APAC Marketing team. You’ll be joining a diverse crew of foodies, die-hard sports fans, sci-fi nerds, and amateur artists. We are data driven marketers, so every major decision starts with data analysis to identify opportunity areas and to measure our efforts.

You will support our APAC Marketing org as a driver of business insights, a beating drum that leads us through each quarter with clarity into what is and is not working. You will be diving into a wide scope of marketing and business data to help us make the right decisions and achieve our ambitious goals. You’ll also be helping us set a course for predictive analytics, helping us to course correct based on the modelling and assumptions you deliver.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the voice of all-things marketing funnel. You will leverage forecasting techniques and trend analyses to predict, then track progress against our goals

  • Build statistical models to set optimal targets across the marketing and sales funnel

  • Be scrappy when scoping, sizing and fulfilling large and small requests balancing efficiency and quality

  • Collaborate with other analysts across marketing, finance, and product to discover the driving forces behind business changes

  • Sift through large data sets via query languages and BI tools for dashboards and reporting

  • Educate and support teams with strategies on how to connect data to results

  • Innovate and continuously develop ways to improve the way we discover, process, and surface impactul, relevant data to our stakeholders

  • Use your expertise on visual and logical creativity to design and build insightful dashboards for teams to stay on top of their KPIs and initiatives

  • Be rigorous in the analysis of metric performance and be able to point out new trends or flag potential issues that will impact the achievement of results

  • You’ll be a storyteller who loves showing others the ropes, educating and inspiring others to share marketing impact and educate their stakeholders.


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • BS/BA degree in business, statistics, economics, or related degree OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • 10+ years of experience in strategy consulting, data analytics, business intelligence, or related field

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Expert in presenting data and providing recommendations with confidence to senior level stakeholders, even when there is ambiguity involved

  • Understanding of statistical modeling concepts such as linear regression and multilevel modeling and provenexperience using these methods to solve problems

  • Familiarity with marketing funnel reporting and industry KPIs, such as website sessions, MQLs, pipeline, and bookings

  • Experience with BI tools (e.g. Explore, Tableau) and advanced Excel or Google Sheet functions

  • Intermediate SQL query writing and experience implementing and working with analytics data warehouses (e.g. BigQuery, MySQL)

  • Experience analyzing CRM data (e.g. Salesforce) and web tracking (e.g. Google Analytics)
