SUMMARY:
A Senior Marketing Scientist will be responsible for complex data analysis of large datasets and development of statistical marketing measurement methodologies to drive business decisions, identify actionable insights, and create specific business value through deployed solutions. Works closely with marketing, technologists, engineers, vendors, and mentors Marketing Scientists.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Collaborates to define metrics, formulate strategies, and develop solutions to drive business value through effective use of data and modern statistical measurement methodologies.
- Analyses large, complex datasets and identifies meaningful patterns and features that lead to actionable insights and support data-driven solutions to business problems.
- Identifies extracts and aggregates and synthesizes data in a variety of structured and unstructured formats using SQL, or other appropriate language to enable analysis, development, and solution deployment.
- Builds, tests, and validates advanced measurement methodologies using Python or R, or other appropriate language, as part of overall solution development.
- Interprets and communicates data findings and insights using visualization, formal presentations, written memos, and other appropriate formats.
- Leads implementation of solutions into production systems and reporting platforms by leading solution design, assisting in development of requirements, developing testing scenarios, and monitoring implementation results.
- Conducts data studies and data discovery of new data sources or new uses for existing data sources to create business value.
- Assesses and cultivates long-term strategic goals and specific opportunities for business intelligence and automated solution development in conjunction with Business Partners, Technologists, and Engineers.
- Researches and implements new methods to increase the quality and efficiency of solution development and promote best practices.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Operations Research, Quantitative Marketing, or related field
- Experience programming in SQL and Python or R for the purposes of developing advanced analytical solutions, visualizations, reports, and presentations
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of professional experience programming in Python or R for the purposes of developing advanced analytical solutions, models, visualizations, reports, and presentations
- 5+ years of professional experience utilizing SQL to work in enterprise database solutions
- 3+ years of demonstrated experience in Marketing Science related functions including, but not limited to: MMM (Marketing Mix Modeling), Econometric Modeling, MTA, A/B Testing, Design of Experiments, Statistical Hypothesis Testing, Attribution, Response Modeling, Uplift Modeling, or other applied marketing science solutions

- Must be able to concentrate and demonstrate a capacity to learn new technical concepts and to adapt to new technologies quickly
- Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information, and to follow published standards and processes
- Must be able to follow complex instructions, resolve conflicts or facilitate conflict resolution, and have strong organization/priority setting skills
- Must be able to communicate in a clear, concise, professional oral or written manner, to be understood by customers, clients, co-workers, and other employees of the organization
- Must be knowledgeable of infrastructure tools and management techniques and able to follow standards and processes that have been published

Annual Salary
$100,000.00 - $204,500.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
