THE ROLE
AG1 is looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst who is passionate about data driven marketing and excels in leveraging data insights, visualization, and advanced analytics to drive customer acquisition and growth. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Data Science and Analytics, you will interface with marketing and acquisition data sources, gather and manipulate data, and produce effective visualizations. You will analyze trends and identify patterns and opportunities in line with business KPIs. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, retention, site engineering, and international teams to deliver actionable insights.
This role sits at the critical intersection of business strategy, marketing technology, and data analytics, driving measurable growth outcomes. It requires a deep understanding of business analytics, digital marketing, and growth business processes, product and consumer trends, as well as strong communication and advanced analytical, data visualization and data storytelling skills. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop optimized SQL queries to aggregate and explore data from multiple datasets, identify opportunities and limitations within our data sets and deliver reliable and high quality analysis to drive strategic insights.
- Translate complex data insights into compelling narratives that drive action across marketing and leadership teams.
- Enable teams with self-service analytics by maintaining curated data sources and developing automated, scalable dashboards in Tableau, by applying intuitive data visualization and dashboard design best practices.
- Own key projects and respond to ad-hoc data requests from internal and external stakeholders. Define, calculate, and validate key performance metrics (KPIs), identifying automation opportunities and developing self-service analytics solutions.
- Communicate with stakeholders on various projects to gather requirements, collect feedback and present deliverables to achieve expected outcomes.
- Brainstorm creative solutions to exploratory projects built around ambiguity, including running analysis to identify problems, understand root cause of trends, provide actionable insights and recommend solutions.
- Work collaboratively and cross functionally with other members of the data team to support testing/experimentation, data modeling, data visualization, data science/machine learning, etc.
- Collaborate with data scientists to leverage A/B testing and incrementality analysis to measure marketing effectiveness and optimize campaign performance.
- Work closely with data engineering teams to define and refine data pipelines, ensuring scalable and reliable marketing data infrastructure.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in growth marketing analytics, data science, preferably in direct-to-consumer and e-commerce companies.
- Experience with marketing analytics, attribution modeling, customer segmentation, and predictive modeling for growth and retention.
- Expertise in SQL and proficiency in either Python (or R) for advanced data analysis and automation. Experience with dbt, Looker, or other modern analytics tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with B2C acquisition and subscription marketing concepts and metrics, including customer journeys, conversion funnels and critical reporting (CAC, payback, retention rate, etc.).
- Hands-on experience working with structured and unstructured data in cloud-based environments, including BigQuery, Snowflake, RedShift, etc.
- Comfortable navigating large datasets, acquiring and cleansing data from multiple sources.
- Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, a self-motivated approach to problem-solving, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to be a self starter and work independently.
- Advanced data visualization skills and hands-on experience with Tableau
- Familiarity with marketing, CRM, social and ad platforms, such as Salesforce, NetSuite CRM, Google Ads, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and others. Experience with partnership and affiliate marketing is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly insights.
- Ability to collaborate with partners to document key business needs into a clearly defined requirements document and project plan.
- Proven skills in distilling complex topics into easy to understand data visualizations. Advanced Tableau data visualization skills preferred.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is $110,000 - $125,000 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
