The Data Engineering Group works across all these domains to build thoughtfully architected, performant, scalable, software products using the Vistaprint Data Platform. We are looking for an experienced manager to drive technical excellence across all our product teams and help build/cultivate an extraordinary engineering culture.

What You Will Do:

• Help build/shape a roadmap of technical standards, development process, security, and identify/resolve systematic impediments that slow down our teams.
• Ensure high code quality in order to build extraordinary data products
• Collaborate with engineers (with various levels of experience) across all 5 domains to design/architect production grade data products (for example product recommendation engines, elasticity-based pricing algorithms or self-service business intelligence solutions) using technologies such as Snowflake, S3, Databricks (Spark), Matillion, Looker and more
• Collaborate with Architecture, Data Governance and Delivery Leads to solve complicated problems, remove impediments for the team, and ensure good design patterns in our data products
• Potential to lead a team of 5-10 Data Engineers with responsibility for mentoring, career growth, performance management, and technical excellence
• Help Vistaprint Data and Analytics drive adoption of best practices for engineering beyond the chapter
• Collaborate with Vistaprint Data Platform team on complex use cases to help evaluate new technologies and features

Your Qualifications:

• 15+ years coding and/or architecture experience in at least one modern programming language: Python (Preferred), Java, Scala etc., and an authority in software development lifecycle and related tooling such as Git
• Experience with Spark, SQL, S3, NoSQL and SQL databases, with cloud services in AWS (Preferred), Azure or Google
• Experience leading teams of 5+ data engineers, problem solving and multi-tasking ability in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment
• Experience handling large volume data as well as both structured/unstructured data, with data governance, data quality, and familiarity with API’s/microservices (REST)

Nice to Have:

• Experience with ML libraries and tabular data libraries
