We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to help us build the next generation of AI infrastructure powering multiple Zillow products.
The position gives you opportunities to:
Lead a team of talented engineers in building scalable infrastructure for end to end machine learning lifecycle, from experimentation to production jobs & services.
Collaborate with platform teams (Data platform, Human in the loop platform, LLM platform) to establish a shared ecosystem of platforms for end users.
Work closely with product partner and customer AI teams to understand requirements, prioritize feature requests, scope and deliver platform solutions.
Collaborate with Principal engineers to design and implement solutions to achieve the technical vision.
Use a variety of OSS technologies (Kubernetes, Argo, KNative, Spark, Kafka, Pytorch) in the development process.
A degree (BS+) in Computer Science or equivalent highly technical field. Masters in Computer Science preferred.
3+ years of management experience.
5+ years of software engineering experience, with Machine Learning products (preferred), data and or backend web services & infrastructure (K8s preferred).
2+ years of experience successfully building large-scale platform solutions for AI or data.
Have vision and passion to make Machine Learning development easier for Scientists.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong passion for collaboration across organizational boundaries.
Passionate about supporting the growth and development of people’s careers.
Experience with at least one cloud environment (AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud).

Experience developing or leading complex software systems scaling to millions of users with production quality deployment, monitoring and reliability.
Experience with Machine Learning Frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, Keras, Tensorflow, XGBoost
Experience with building low latency, high reliability Web Services (K8s, KNative services)
Experience with modern data technologies (Spark, Hive, Kafka, Beam, Airflow)
