AI/ML Software Engineer

The Opportunity: 

As a programmer, you know that machine learning is critical to understanding and processing massive datasets. Your ability to conduct statistical analyses on business processes using ML techniques makes you an integral part of delivering a customer-focused solution. We need your technical knowledge and desire to problem-solve to support the development of ML software solutions. As a machine learning software engineer on our strategic innovations team, you’ll develop software in support of training, testing, and deploying models that learn from data.

In this role, you’ll contribute to the direction of mission-critical solutions by creating front and back-end solutions in the application of ML algorithms and technologies. You’ll learn from a large community of software and machine learning engineers across the firm and collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and other software engineers to deliver world-class solutions to develop solutions to real world problems. Your technical knowledge will help clients navigate the landscape of ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

You Have:  

• 5+ years of experience in application design and development, including with back-end database architectures, relational or cloud-based, and full life cycle software development
• 2+ years of experience with leading teams on small to mid-size software development activities
• Experience in programming with Python and basic programming languages, technologies, tools, or web development stacks
• Experience with using back-end and front-end languages to develop complete solutions
• Experience with tool, including Bootstrap, MongoDB, Express, React, and NodeJS
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Scienc or Statistics

Nice If You Have:  

• Experience with creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative, cross-functional team 
• Experience with building and deploying containerized applications or microservices using Docker and Kubernetes  
• Experience with CI/CD or DevOps frameworks, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Argo CD
• Experience with SQL and database solutioning and management
• Experience with Docker and containerization
• Experience with using Agile software development methods
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Git
• CompTIA Security+ Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $93,300.00 to $212,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
