As a data engineer, you have the chance to develop and deploy the pipelines and platforms that make this data meaningful. What’s more, you’ll have the chance to help grow Booz Allen’s DataOps capabilities while working with a multi-disciplinary team of analysts, data engineers, data scientists, developers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment. We’re looking for someone like you to work with our clients and meet their mission by deploying a data lake for the Department of Veteran's Affairs.

This is an opportunity to implement data engineering activities on some of the most mission-driven projects in the industry. Supporting the VA's Veterans Experience, you’ll have the chance to design, configure and run raw data ingestions into parquet file fomats in an Azure Data and Delta Lake as well as utilize Microsoft Synapse, Databricks and other ETL tools to process those parquet files. From sharing your skills in analytical exploration and examination of data to supporting the assessment, design, building, and maintenance of scalable platforms, you’ll work with our clients to solve their most pressing challenges. This position is open to remote delivery anywhere within the U.S., to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Athena, parquet files, Microsoft Synapse, or Databricks

  • Knowledge of Jira

  • Ability to self-organize as part of a mid-size Scrum team and apply data engineering expertise

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Oracle and Oracle Golden Gate

  • Knowledge of Confluence

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Certified Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate Certification

Final salary will be determined based on various factors. The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is 100,000 to 135,000.
