We are Loadsmart and we have recently created a new Analytics Engineer. We are a growth-stage start-up technology company valued at over $1 billion (a tech unicorn), led by a leadership team of logistics veterans and experienced engineers, product leaders and data scientists continuing to disrupt this $800 billion industry. 
 
This critical position will play a key role in partnering with different Data teams and Data Engineering to conceptualize, design/model and implement Analytics and Business Intelligence Solutions to our data/metrics platform. You will be the go-to person for any data development for internal analytics as also interfacing Product teams and Data Science teams to assist and advise them to build data products. 


LOCATION: This position can be remote anywhere in Latin America

What you get to do:

    • Build Data Warehousing systems, reporting and analytics.
    • Understand business needs that can be solved by using data. 
    • Translate business needs into technical requirements & specifications to support Data Engineering and Analytics Engineering development.
    • Develop and maintain data models and data sets.

You have experience:

    • You’re fluent in both written and spoken English (please also submit your resume in English.).
    • Building OLAP systems and creating and maintaining dimensional models.
    • Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to evolve our data platform and products
    • Ability to understand business needs and transform into technical requirements & specifications to support data engineering and analytics engineering development.
    • Proved experience with data warehouses and associated tooling
    • Hands-on experience with relational databases and performing advanced SQL queries
    • Experience working on data modeling and ETL tools.

Preferred but not required:

    • Experience dealing with data privacy and security on analytics level
    • Ability to understand backend data engineering solutions using SQL and/or Python.
    • Python for data manipulation (mostly Pandas).
    • Experience with orchestration and workflow tools
