The role:
We are looking for an entry-level Business Data / BI Analyst to join our BI Team, working remotely from Lat-Am. You will partner with leaders across the business to create, conceptualize, design and produce data solutions/analyses/studies/insights that will have a direct impact on Loadsmart’s decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Understand business requirements that need to be solved using data.
    • Translate the business requirements into data solutions (e.g.: metrics, KPIs, entities, relationships, models, statistical analysis, analytics, data science, etc). Develop the solution and/or interface with Data Engineers as appropriate to ensure and follow up on the correctness of the data solution.
    • Ensure alignment of all stakeholders on metrics, definitions, documentation, relationships, numbers behavior, terminology.
    • Conduct the analyses/studies/insights and share with the appropriate stakeholders.
    • Design and build customized BI reports and data visualizations along with data refresh schedules using Power BI or similar platforms, using the correct measures and calculations.
    • Provide support for self-service BI for stakeholders.
    • Configure BI dashboards and KPI’s that assist in obtaining important insights from our data and help internal teams drive key business decisions to improve performance and operate more efficiently.
    • Perform quality assurance for all data across the company through troubleshooting end user issues.

Qualifications:

    • You’re advanced in English (both written and spoken).
    • Minimum 2 years experience in a business analyst or similar role.
    • Minimum 2 years experience working with SQL, data analysis, including data profiling, building customized views, writing SQL queries.
    • Experience in BI projects converting business needs into reporting requirements and data solutions.
    • Experience working with Power BI or similar platforms.
    • Ability to make right visualization choices, use of data blending features, connect to several DB technologies.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Stay up to date on new and coming visualization technologies.
    • Ability to develop new metrics in Power BI.

Preferred but not required:

    • Perform statistical analyses.
    • Develop predictive, prescriptive models, machine learning models for BI.
    • Understand and know how to apply design and user experience principles to dashboards and visualizations.
    • Have experience with storytelling with data.
    • Understanding DW data models and ability to develop them in Power BI.
    • Ability to develop backend data engineering solutions using SQL and/or Python.
