Data Analyst, Mid

As a Data Analyst, you love diving into data and turning it into meaningful insights. With the abundance of structured and unstructured data, you understand the importance of transforming complex data sets into useful information to solve challenges. You’ll understand client business requirements and translate those needs into actionable requirements for analysis and data science.
As a data analyst on our team, you’ll use your analytical skills to help create real-world impact. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You’ll use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers so that your clients can make informed decisions. Ultimately, you’ll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used. Work with us as we use data for good.

You Have:
4+ years of experience with leveraging Excel for data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, or data visualization
Knowledge of healthcare databases and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
Ability to translate complex and technical findings into an easily evident narrative, including in graphical, verbal, or written form
Ability to implement measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
Ability to take personal initiative to plan, execute against a plan, document progress, and collaborate with others
Bachelor’s degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Python
Experience with SQL
Experience conducting analysis of large sets of medical data, requirements gathering, and progress tracking
Experience with healthcare or medical device industry
Experience in adverse events analysis within healthcare data
Experience with Agile methodologies and best practices
Knowledge of healthcare claims data
Ability to identify issues with healthcare data and develop solutions to address
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Master’s degree in a Computer Science, IT, Math, Science, or related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,400.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
