Vroom.com is seeking to add a Data Analytics Engineer! As a valued member of our analytics engineering team, you will be responsible for building the Vroom data platform and empowering stakeholders across the organization. Within the analytics department, we carry each other forward. You will work closely with stakeholders, analysts and other engineers to understand the business needs and develop the data platform that will advance Vroom.

Design, develop, and deploy reliable data solutions from data ingestion to ready-for-analysis datasets
Maintain and optimize data pipelines, data models and data warehouse for performance and scalability
Identify gaps in tech stack, generate and implement improvements
Implement best practices and standards for code maintainability and performance
Advance testing standards and design of automated monitoring of data integrity across data systems
Partner with product analysts, data analysts, data scientists, and the business to understand the underlying business needs to provide meaningful data solutions
Hands-on experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or a backend software development role building data processing systems w/ production quality code
Experience designing and building robust data systems
Strong understanding of SQL (dbt preferred) and analytical data warehouses (Redshift preferred)
Must have hands-on experience building Python-based data pipeline tools (Airflow preferred)
Strong analytical mindset to QA data, identify gaps and determine root cause of issues
Familiarity with AWS tooling, ideally Redshift Administration, AWS Glue, S3, and RDS
Bonus points for experience in Salesforce, Google Workspace, Docker, Luigi, Kafka, Spark
Master's Degree paired with 3+ years of relevant work experience or Bachelor's Degree paired with 5+ years of relevant work experience or comparable experience
