Job Summary:

The Senior Analyst of Advanced Supply Chain Analytics will work under the Managers, Directors, VPs and overall Senior Leadership on Vroom’s transformational strategies. You will do this through collaboration and being able to grasp complex problems through data driven analysis - at times given little instruction in resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways. Your team will synthesize complex problems through analytical solutions that will impact the goals of Vroom. Seasoned experience needed with ability to demonstrate solid judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create reports (Dashboard, R-Shiny, Notebook, Excel, csv) for team and business partners, and set up automation of reports
  • Track performance of data science models, perform deep dive analysis to find strengths and weaknesses of models, and come up with possible solutions to weaknesses
  • Analyze internal and external data to find new insights, and work with data scientists to incorporate new data fields/features into data science models
  • Find new areas of opportunity where data science and analytics can assist business partners based on analytical findings
  • Present findings to business partners

Technical Skills

  • Python
  • SQL
  • Dashboard and Reporting Tools (ex: Jupyter Notebooks, RShiny, Tableau, Excel)

Soft Skills

  • Ability to tell a story with data
  • Communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications:

  • 3 Years of experience with a Bachelor's degree preferably in an applicable area 

  • Ability to work on problems of a diverse scope through data driven analysis under the Advanced Supply Chain Analytics umbrella

  • Can receive assignments in the form of objectives and demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions 

  • Ability to normally receive general to little instruction on day-to-day work, working independently at time 

  • Unquenchable intellectual curiosity for getting to the underlying story being told within the data

  • A combination of EQ and IQ – striving to balance creativity, situational awareness and objective information 

  • Will work on issues of a diverse scope utilizes data driven thinking and cross functional partnering to support the initiatives of Vroom
