Role Highlights
- Partner with various business units to develop machine-learning models used in targeting / underwriting / pricing / fraud and verification strategies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities using data and machine-learning models.
- Take ownership of a rich library of machine learning tools and enjoy authority to continue to research efficient and effective strategies.
- Access a deep set of application, bureau, web, and alternative data to gain insights and convert these insights into actionable strategies and models.
- Play with end-to-end machine learning pipelines including data extraction, feature engineering, model building, performance evaluation and implementation.
- From time to time, be involved in search of relevant big data and in assessing 3rd party vendor’s capabilities.
- Enjoy a culture rich in learning and frequent small wins, our Data Science team is small and contributes insights to decisions made across the entire business.
To be successful in this role
- You should have a Master or PhD in quantitative fields, preferably Math or Data Science.
- You should have a solid foundational understanding of the technical aspects of Data Science – good in statistics, machine-learning techniques and know how to obtain and use big data (structured and un-structured). Experience with adaptive models is a plus.
- Able to leverage SQL, Python including machine-learning libraries (panda, scikit-learn, matplotlib, etc.), R or SAS. Knowledge in Amazon Sagemaker is a plus
- Able to communicate with business partners for modeling needs, sample design and planning.
- Self-motivated and high creativity in problem solving; ability to present models to business stakeholders in an easy-to-understand format.
- Freestyle thinker; Ability to work in a fast-paced and fast-changing environment.
