Role Highlights
- Responsible for the data science function in the company supporting all business functions.
- Lead innovation within the business by creating additional value through the utilization of data assets and analytics.
- Set vision, educate and evangelize use cases of advanced analytics and data science application throughout the business.
- Liaise with technology team to set vision, capabilities, infrastructure and roadmap of data science capabilities.
- Liaise with data team to identify opportunities in new and/or alternative data sources.
- Lead and nurture data science talents through role definition, recruitment and development of team members.
- Create and facilitate collaborative environments with other business functions to ensure high synergies and alignments.
To be successful in this role
- You should have a Master or PhD in quantitative fields, preferably Statistics, Economics or Data Science. Additional degree in business is a plus.
- You should have a solid foundational understanding of the technical aspects of Data Science – good in statistics, machine-learning techniques, experimental designs and know how to obtain and use big data (structured and un-structured). Experience with adaptive models is a plus.
- You should have deep understanding of the business dynamics; and proactively lead/conduct exploratory data analyses and experimental designs.
- You should be proficient in writing your own SQL and Python including machine-learning libraries (panda, scikit-learn, matplotlib, etc.), R or SAS. Knowledge in Amazon Sagemaker is a plus.
- You should have strong communication and influential skills necessary to ensure high synergy and alignment with other business functions.
- You should be a team-builder, result-oriented and self-driven superstar with minimal supervision, as well as open-minded and strategic thinker.
