Role highlights

    • Take ownership of a rich data environment feeding our machine learning models
    • Improve, expand, and streamline our existing data pipelines and build brand new ones to help support adaptive ML models at enterprise scale
    • Be a leader in sourcing new external data sources, and conduct feature engineering to further enrich and unlock the value of existing data sources
    • Help onboard and maintain an enterprise-grade Feature Repository to enable data streams to our models at training and inference
    • Build and maintain centralized feature pre-processing pipelines to feed the Feature Repository and our models

To be successful in this role

    • At least two years of professional Data Engineering experience or work program equivalents in a relevant field
    • Experience in operationalization of Data Pipelines using AWS cloud infrastructure a must – specific experience with Snowflake, CodePipelines, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, and Sagemaker a plus
    • Experience with SQL relational databases and S3 cloud storage in a production setting required – experience with Hadoop/Spark and distributed data systems a plus
    • Experience with Data Engineering in a Machine Learning context, or working with enterprise Feature Repositories (ex. AWS Feature Store, Tecton) is a big plus
    • Proficiency with API and JSON interfaces for real-time and batch ETL processing
    • Proficiency with Python and a good knowledge of Bash and Unix command-line toolkit
    • Exposure to machine learning fundamentals such as training data, models, metrics, train/serve skew
    • At least one AWS certification in a relevant area
    • A love of data, building new processes, and continuous learning
    • Demonstrated self-motivation and willingness to dive into complicated Data Engineering challenges
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong technical communication skills
