The Senior Credit Strategy Analyst will be a critical member of the Credit team and will lead credit strategy for personal loans. Responsibilities include Pricing, Loan amount, Fee & Offer strategies across all acquisition channels, strategy improvement and innovation, monitoring of Champion/Challenger data, and web funnel conversion improvement while maintaining investor returns. The incumbent will work closely with implementation on offer strategy architecture and platform re-design. The Manager contributes leadership and technical expertise to collaborate with other senior leaders across Marlette’s quickly growing fintech business.

The incumbent is also expected to provide leadership across other areas of the business to drive overall company objectives, by identifying opportunities and proposing solutions.  Internal and External Stakeholder satisfaction will be a component of measuring performance.

Duties & Responsibilities

    • This individual will be responsible for monitoring, refining and developing Credit offer strategies (including pricing, loan amount & fees) for personal loans
    • Work with implementation on offer strategy architecture and re-design project.
    • Create test/control champion/challenger tests and monitoring to inform future strategies
    • Provide scenario analysis/create financial impact sizing/develop new strategy test case
    • Perform ad-hoc analytics, create reporting and presentations
    • Work across functional areas to drive overall growth, product enhancements, and improve web funnel conversion rates across all channels.
    • Partner with Decision Science to define and develop Credit models and tools
    • Maintain overall risk and return targets for investors particularly in a changing economic environment

Requirements

    • Development:

    • 5+ years experience in a similar analytical role 
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering, other quantitative major required;  Master’s degree a plus
    • Experience in financial industry, credit risk required; online lending, near-prime, sub-prime is a plus 
    • Must be proficient in SAS, SQL, and MS Excel;  Python or R a plus 
    • Experience in strategy implementation, architecture, design in decision or rules engines is a plus
    • Excellent English written/verbal communication skills, critical thinking and interpersonal skills 
    • Highly independent and self-motivated to forming opinions that are supported by data. 
    • Strong knowledge of modeling tools and techniques and use in strategy
    • Ability to understand competitive pressure, economic trends and their business impacts. 
    • High Energy with ability to work in a fast-paced environment

In addition to semi-monthly salary payments, base salary range $65,000 - $104,000 this position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus based on individual and company performance. Annual bonus target 20%
