Health Data Architect. Lead

As a data architect on our team focused on federal health agency clients, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing the overall data architecture for the clients’ data ecosystems, ensuring that it meets the current and future needs of the government agency and its stakeholders. You'll have a deep understanding of data modeling, data integration, and data management best practices, as well as expertise in designing scalable, secure, and performant data architectures for cloud-based environments. You will have the ability to analyze complex data requirements and design effective and efficient data architectures to meet those requirements, while collaborating closely with stakeholders.

You Have:
10+ years of experience with leading business process assessment, reengineering, or architectural development
7+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms
Experience with enterprise data warehouse solutions, including design, modeling, implementation, security and system administration
Knowledge of data modeling, data integration, and designing scalable data architectures
Knowledge of AWS cloud services, cloud architecture best practices, big data technologies and ETL processes within the AWS ecosystem
Knowledge of SQL with scripting languages, such as Python or Scala
Knowledge of AI/ML platforms and data requirements to facilitate the development of AI/ML models
Ability to implement data governance and security policies, including customer-managed keys and VPCs2
Public Trust
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology
Nice If You Have:
Experience with advanced data transformations using PySpark APIs1
Experience with management across AWS environments using Terraform
Knowledge of Delta Lake and the ability to manipulate data in Delta Lake tables with SQL1
Knowledge of platform administration on AWS, particularly with Databricks deployments2
Knowledge of Python in implementing classes and working within Databricks notebooks
Ability to articulate complex data architecture topics with technical and non-technical audiences
AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate1 Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
