Health Informatics Chief Data Architect

Key Role:

Lead, inform, and build data-fueled informatics and surveillance solutions that help clients improve the public health mission of the federal government. Provide insight into leading informatics and data practices, design and lead iterative learning and development cycles, and produce new and creative solutions that will become part of core deliverables. Build teams by hiring and developing top talent and build new business with clients. Identify and prioritize actionable, high-impact insights across a variety of core business areas while working with cross-functional team members.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience working in a fast-paced, test-driven, collaborative, and iterative development or public health environment

  • 8+ years of experience with relational databases, BI, and analytics tools, including SQL, Tableau, SASS, or Palantir

  • 6+ years of experience with creating fellowship by leading teams of 10-30 staff

  • 6+ years of experience with delivering solutions that solve complex data analytics and surveillance problems, using quantitative approaches, including analytical, mathematical, and technical

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of statistical and predictive modeling concepts or machine-learning approaches

  • Knowledge of government public health approaches to surveillance systems and data architecture

  • Ability to collaborate in a matrixed environment

  • Possession of excellent analytical skills

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Informatics Information Systems, or Mathematics preferred; Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Informatics Information Systems, or Mathematics a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $134,600.00 to $250,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
