Machine Learning Engineer, Lead

Key Role:
Process data and information at a massive scale with machine learning technologies. Apply leading-edge principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of new principles and concepts. Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions. Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions and mentor or supervise employees in both firm and technical competencies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience as a machine learning engineer

  • Knowledge of machine learning operations and the design and implementation of machine learning algorithms integrated into operational systems and deployed to production environments

  • Ability to train, optimize, integrate, and reinforce machine learning algorithms across high volume or velocity text and imagery or full-motion video data feeds

  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with wide variety of machine learning programming languages, including Python, TensorFlow, or JavaScript

  • Experience with distributable databases, including Apache Spark, HDFS, MapR, or Cloudera

  • Experience with machine learning hardware, including AMD, NVIDIA DGX, or small form factor HW, such as Jetson or Xavier

  • Experience with performing data exploration and data analysis on multiple data types, including images, video, and text

  • Experience with feature selection, computer vision or natural Language Processing model building, and optimization using supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques to support analytic objectives

  • Knowledge of deep learning, natural language processing, and synthetic data generation

  • Secret clearance

  • Doctorate degree preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $121,200.00 to $275,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
