Role Description

Do you have a passion for people analytics, applied organizational psychology, and bringing actionable insights to HR and Recruiting teams? Dropbox’s People Analytics team is looking for someone to lead research efforts on topics including employee engagement, diversity & inclusion, hiring, retention, employee well-being, and staying connected in a virtual environment. This role will help us harness the power of data to help our People and business leaders make better decisions, predict employee outcomes, and measure the ROI of our initiatives. You bring the ability to balance multiple priorities, deep analytical rigor, and excellent interpersonal skills that can be tailored to cross-functional audiences at every level.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a leading authority on People Analytics research methods and will help us set the vision for research focus areas on our people analytics team. 
  • Understand People-related challenges, collect data and consult with stakeholders to define solutions, tell a story through data visualizations, and present recommendations
  • Partner with internal data warehouse teams to bridge the gap between advanced people analytics projects and data currently available in our data warehouse
  • Work closely with our team of dashboard developers to help maintain, iterate, and improve our existing dashboards and reporting capabilities based on user feedback
  • Communicate statistical analyses and results to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Build analytics capability in the organization through data literacy trainings focused on root cause analysis, interpreting people data, storytelling with data, and action planning

Requirements

  • MA/MS in a related research or data science field (Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Marketing Research, Computer Science, Social Sciences (e.g., Anthropology, Sociology)
  • 4+ years of data analytics in HR or Recruiting space.
  • 4+ years of experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to define the scope of analytics initiatives, translate data to insights, and present findings verbally and in writing
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a dynamic business landscape
  • Low ego attitude with a willingness to shift from high-level critical thinking to stepping in and helping to drive implementation alongside functional teams
  • Knowledge in HR processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing and analyzing structured and unstructured data using SQL, R, and/or Python
  • 5+ years of experience in dashboard development and data visualizations, using tools such as Tableau
  • 2+ years of experience in AWS/Redshift or other enterprise data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake)
  • Experience in statistical modeling tools (e.g., SAS, SPSS)

Through our assessment process, we will identify your level that ties to compensation based on your experience and technical expertise along with the scope of the role.

For candidates hired in the following locations: Austin (TX) metro, Chicago metro, Colorado, Massachusetts, Maryland, Oregon, Washington D.C. metro, California (outside SF metro), the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $107,100 - $126,000 - $144,900 if you are assessed at the IC3 level. If you are instead assessed at the IC4 level, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $133,900 - $157,500 - $181,100.

For candidates hired in the following locations: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois (outside Chicago Metro), North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas (outside Austin Metro), Virginia (outside D.C. Metro), the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $95,200 - $112,000 - $128,800 if you are assessed at the IC3 level. If you are instead assessed at the IC4 level, the expected salary/On-Target Earnings (OTE) range for the role is currently $119,000 - $140,000 - $161,000.

Range(s) is subject to change. Dropbox takes a number of factors into account when determining individual starting pay, including job and level they are hired into, location/metropolitan area, skillset, and peer compensation. Dropbox uses the zip code of an employee’s remote work location to determine which metropolitan pay range we use.

Salary/OTE is just one component of Dropbox’s total rewards package. All regular employees are also eligible for the corporate bonus program or a sales incentive (target included in OTE) as well as stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
