The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to “gain more insight into their data,” but not everyone knows how. As a Power BI Developer, you know how to engineer, analyze, and visualize the successes and opportunities to help a client make informed, data-driven decisions. What if you could use your analytical visualization skills to improve Veteran's Healthcare? We need you to help us develop data analysis solutions for some of the Department of Veterans Affairs toughest challenges.

On our team, you’ll be able to use your data engineering skills to improve the effectiveness of decision-makers across the VA. This is an opportunity to use the latest business intelligence technologies and best practices as you look for ways to improve your client’s knowledge and understanding of their data, and how it impacts the veteran experience. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with customers and stakeholders to visualize how their data can be harnessed and leveraged to improve veteran outcomes. You’ll recommend visualizations and solutions based on your research of the current data environment and knowledge of the latest models and best practices in the field of business intelligence.

You’ll help lead the team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in data-driven decisions. Additionally, you’ll broaden your skillset in areas like working within GovCloud environments and automating critical business logic while developing critical systems for the VA.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience as a data engineer or data analyst
  • 8+ years of experience with SW development
  • 4+ years of experience working with the PowerBI application and service
  • Experience with creating Power BI Dashboards from scratch
  • Experience with managing large datasets and resource limitations
  • Experience with building reports that are both consumable and Accessible, including 508 compliant
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with basic database administration
  • Experience with connecting to different data sources
  • Knowledge of SAFe, Service Now, and Jira
  • Knowledge of application performance monitoring and reporting

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
