As a Data Scientist at Gopuff, you’ll build and deploy machine learning models for all sorts of highly important use cases - including recommendation and personalization, predictive LTV, pricing optimization,  predictive inventory planning, operations optimization, etc. You will also drive changes that increase efficiencies and improve the customer experience. You’ll have the opportunity to make a huge impact on the future success of goPuff.

Key Responsibilities: 

Collaborate with our business and engineering partners across the organization to deliver data science solutions for practical business problems. Work with the project leads and product managers to identify and scope new opportunities for data science projects and implement advanced analytics solutions that become essential to our daily business operations

Build Recommender Systems and personalization solutions to greatly enhance shopping experience

Build models that support real-time events and internal stakeholder decisions across the business - from Marketing and Merchandising to Operations and Supply Chain

Productionize and deploy models using cloud based tech stacks including Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Ecosystems and etc.

Drive adoption of data products and data science solutions into the planning process for investment decisions with finance and the leadership teams

Identify gaps in existing data, create data product specs, and work with Engineering teams to implement enhanced data tracking

Partner with Analytics team members and other functions to share insights and best practices, ensuring consistency of data-driven decision-making throughout the org

Required Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Masters or Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, analytics, computer science, engineering or another quantitative field from an accredited university or college

Graduating between December 2022 - June 2023

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on experience applying descriptive statistics, machine learning, predictive modeling to solve challenging problems

Programming skills in Python

Data querying skills in SQL

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms to business stakeholders
