Summary
Medicare Advantage is a fast-growing Cigna business that depends on complete and accurate documentation for all members in our population. To that end, this role involves leading the design and development of new models utilizing complete longitudinal clinical records for each customer. This means developing new tools and techniques, using a variety of internal and external data sources, to enable a comprehensive understanding of a member’s clinically relevant information. You will join a collaborative, cross-functional team of stakeholders to solve challenging, open-ended problems. You will communicate modeling results and recommended process changes to MA leaders.

This position is with Evernorth, a new business within the Cigna Corporation.
Responsibilities
Initiate collaboration with stakeholders across the MA business to prioritize and define key performance indicators that can be addressed with risk adjustment targeting models
Enhance the set of models that prioritize outreach efforts using various analytics tools and techniques
Develop clear and thoughtful materials to communicate results/recommendations to business partners
Work effectively and efficiently on multiple tasks and deadlines, while producing high quality results
Ensure quality and integrity of data collected and analyses performed
Qualifications
4+ years of work experience in health insurance analytics or actuarial/finance analysis
Experience with ACA or MA risk adjustment scoring algorithms and targeting models
Experience building and deploying machine learning algorithms in production preferred
Experience with SQL-based relational databases
Excellent command of data science libraries in Python
Proficiency with syntactic and semantic interoperability of health information exchange using data standards such as SNOMED CT, RxNorm, LOINC, and variations of HL7 (e.g. 2, FHIR, etc.)
Experience working in a cloud based environment (preferably AWS)
Ability to work with business partners in consultative manner
Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $108,200 - $180,400, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
