How you'll make a difference:

The Sr. Data Scientist role is a key role to the enterprise and will be supporting a highly complex and growing area within the health care data and analytics services space. As a strong individual contributor, the role will lead client engagements to define, develop and communicate insights critical to Commercial, Market Access, HEOR and Evidence Generation functions at Pharma/Life Science. Responsibilities include leading Outcomes Research studies, Advanced Analytics, ML model development and general analytic support for all stakeholders.  This role will work closely with the internal Sales and Technology teams.  This person will need to be able to understand the needs within the Commercial Pharma Analytics space and translate those into actionable insights.

What you'll do:

  • Consult and communicate research insights effectively with external stakeholders to help understand complex issues and inquiries, while prescribing action or solutions.

  • Patient analytics using Real-World Data sources such as anonymized longitudinal patient claims data, lab/diagnostic testing data, etc.

  • Focus on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across Data & Analytic Solutions in various therapeutic areas

  • Deliver commercial Life Sciences Market Access data analysis, including pull-through analysis, Outcomes Research, Patient Journey and Epidemiological studies.

  • Execute HEOR research using internal and external datasets, including creating protocols and statistical analysis plans, executing research, and generating final reports for publication (manuscripts, posters, presentations)

  • Collaborate on developing clinical patient registries and underlying analytic methodologies to augment closed claim & patient data, identify trends and provide industry insights.

  • Assist in developing the data strategy for the enterprise.

  • Act as liaison for shared services between Evernorth and Forsyth Health.

  • Research and deploy new tools, applications and data frameworks that will be an enabler the team.

  • Manage multiple projects while supervising timelines, priorities, and escalations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Public Health, Health Outcomes, Epidemiology, Statistics, or in any technical field that provides a solid basis for analytics highly desired.

  • Advanced degree or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in Payer/Pharma/Life Sciences related analytics/data science.

  • Prior experience in Healthcare analytics, Specialty Medication analytics or Health Outcomes preferred.

  • Prior publication experience and/or presenting at industry conferences such as ISPOR, AMCP, ASCO etc.  is preferred.

  • A demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate (both verbally and written) analytic and clinical data to a varied audience.

  • Deep healthcare data (e.g., Payer/Pharma experience, EMR Data, Medical and Pharmacy claims), statistical analysis experience, and an understanding of all the associated clinical, utilization and financial levers.

  • General familiarity with analytic tools and solutions including Teradata, SAS, tableau, Hadoop, Python, relational databases.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 113,500 - 189,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
