Who You’ll Be Working With

Evolent is looking for an Analyst to join our Client Analytics team. In this analytical and client-facing role, you will be responsible for creating actionable and innovative analytics solutions that drive decision-making for Evolent's largest Medicaid partner. 

What You’ll Be Doing

The Analyst will inform decision making across the company and for our clients, by conducting analyses and developing actionable insights.  Project focuses will range from (but not be limited to) medical cost and utilization drivers, care delivery and coordination, high value provider networks, clinical quality, and value-based care.  The Analyst will have the opportunity to shape team culture and operating norms as a result of the fast-paced nature of a new, high-growth organization.

  • Create actionable, innovative analytics solutions that drive decision-making for Evolent and for clients (e.g. perform medical economics analyses to determine cost and utilization drivers, map out referral patterns, profile physicians on specific sets of performance indicators)

  • Drill into medical claims and other data sources using SAS and/or SQL.

  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support data-driven insights focused on top clinical initiatives and to answer specific business questions that arise from company leadership and client physicians.

  • Produce efficient processes to replicate reports monthly.

  • Create reports and analysis in Evolent’s business intelligence tool.

  • Collaborate with many areas of Evolent Health (Clinical, IT, Actuarial, Clinical Informatics, Finance, Network) and with market team (Operations, Provider Engagement, Clinical)

  • Audit data sources and analyses to ensure data is accurate and complete.

  • Help the team and client arrive at goals of providing superior population health and transition to value-based care.

  • Provide market leads with on-demand analytics support by keeping well-informed of client issues and continuously identifying ways to address those issues across clients.

  • Leverage existing processes for tracking and prioritizing deliverables, suggesting enhancements as needed.

The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience 

  • 1-2 years of professional experience including recent work with SQL or SAS

  • Takes initiative, operates in ambiguity, and manages competing deadlines.

  • Thinks critically and solves problems creatively.

  • Desires to work in a fast-paced high-growth organization.

  • Works collaboratively and pitches in for the greater good of the team

  • Is detail-oriented and owns his/her results.

Finishing Touches (Preferred):

  • Has healthcare experience with a payer, provider group/hospital, ACO, or consulting organization, or has previous analytics experience and capabilities.

  • Has a deep understanding of and experience with medical/pharmacy claims, implementation science, and clinical measures.

  • Has experience with client facing reporting and communication.

  • Has the ability to write SAS and/or SAS code or equivalent experience with SQL or Python.

Technical Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

Compensation Range: The minimum salary for this position is $63,000, plus benefits. Salaries are determined by the skill set required for the position and commensurate with experience and may vary above and below the stated amounts.
