What You’ll Be Doing:

Our Technical team at New Century Health is looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer as part of EDWBI core development team to help build, support, and enhance our state-of-the-art reporting framework leveraging existing EDWBI data platform. The BI Engineer combines a passion for developing reporting systems that provide accessible information for business decision-making and applying innovation and creative thinking to maintain and improve data analytics platforms. The person should think out-of-box solutions to provide quantifiable insights to solve complex business problems.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Be part of core EDW Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence team engaged in designing and developing EDWBI reporting and data platforms.
  • Assists in implementing effective business analytics practices that drive improved decision making, efficiency and performance
  • Assists with technology improvement activities to ensure continuous enhancements of core EDWBI platform
  • Support ad-hoc data requests from internal/external clients for business continuity and ad-hoc analytics.
  • Communicate with nontechnical business users to determine specific business requirements for reports and business intelligence solutions.
  • Provide maintenance support to existing EDWBI applications and reports.
  • Conduct presentations of the work when requested and participate in knowledge sharing sessions with others on the team

 The Experience You’ll Need (Required):

  • Expert level T-SQL experience in writing/maintaining stored procedures and complex queries.
  • Expert level Reporting Services (SSRS) experience
  • Expert Level Power BI experience.
  • Intermediate to Expert Level Analytical Cube (SSAS) experience.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in data presented in BI solutions.
  • Critical thinker with the vision to work both tactically and strategically.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to modify communication style to match the appropriate level of the audience targeted, with strong understanding of the impact of a message on the organization or customer.

 Finishing Touches (Preferred):

  • Healthcare industry experience with exposure to authorizations/claims/eligibility and patient clinical data (desirable)
  • Experience with C#, .NET and VB scripting will be a plus.

Technical Requirements:

We require that all employees have the following technical capability at their home: High speed internet over 10 Mbps and, specifically for all call center employees, the ability to plug in directly to the home internet router. These at-home technical requirements are subject to change with any scheduled re-opening of our office locations.

Compensation Range: The minimum salary for this position is $100000, plus benefits. Salaries are determined by the skill set required for the position and commensurate with experience and may vary above and below the stated amounts.
